On Sunday, October 16th we’re bringing together the most promising future leaders for a workshop around running engaged organizations. Participants will learn various activities that can make any meeting more engaging and the overarching structure what makes a great meeting. This is not a lecture. 90% of the time will be participants working through activities and experiencing these things first-hand.
My name is Zachary Jones. I’m a senior Entrepreneurship major and president of the Entrepreneurship Club. This event was originally conceived as a way to pass on what I’ve learned from two years of leading E-Club meetings to future leaders of our club. I talked to other organizations and realized that many struggle with running meetings that retain member interest. Through my trip to Google and Stanford last year and time with the University Innovation Fellows program, I’ve learned dozens of activities to engage people in active learning. I’ve used these skills to start an NSO program called Ignite, run events for freshmen business majors and lead a workshop for boy scouts.
The event will be held from 3:30-5:30 on October 16th in the Venture Development Center on 132 East Delaware Ave. If you are a current or future leader of an RSO that could benefit from this workshop, please fill out this RSVP form.
If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out,
Zack
